Weekly photographic diary

Sunday - Pentecost, the day the Helper, the Holy Spirit came and imparted gifts to the Church. So a small gift for anyone who chooses to accept it of a Screen Saver using 5 of my favourite photos from the archives. Click here if you would like to receive this.

Tuesday - every year we wait with baited breath to see if this little plant appears. It is very special for me and when I first saw it I was overjoyed. It is a bee orchid, one of those native species which grows up among the meadow grass and that remains hidden until it is either in flower or almost so.

Friday morning and I do not seem to have updated this diary as I should. However I have been busy taking photos and to show that summer has really come I have included one of a frined's rose which is a mass of flowers at the moment. She also has in her  garden a foxglove that has produced a most unusual flower head. The picture is of one of two of her floxgloves that have produced the same sort of flower.

We have a new village sign in our village and I took a photo of this the other day. I include a close up and a picture of it showing it's setting.
