Weekly photographic diary

Monday already, and I only managed 2 days last week. I think the school report will say, "Could do better". So I will try really hard. I was delighted to see our beautiful clematis this morning, I have been so busy I hadn't noticed that so many of the buds were already in flower. Also the greenfinches seem to be back with a vengeance.

Tuesday and the weather is not brilliant so struggling to find a really good photo. However noticed that all along the verges there is a pretty flower which is quite tall and didn't know what it was so took a photo of it to be informed by a knowledgable friend that it is Common Comfrey. It might not be exotic but I still think it is pretty and it has been used for a variety of purposes over the years from medicinal to fertilizer. We don't need to be exotic to be useful! Perhaps that is a good lesson for today.

Wednesday and no new photos but Monday's revamped. Something I enjoy playing with is graphics, of you refer to my bear clipart and clipart pages, (you can pick up clipart for free). This was produced using Serif DrawPlus 4 and part of Monday's photograph of the clematis. A little paler and this could be used for a rather fussy wallpaper.

Saturday, it seems that I have managed to miss a couple of days again! However had time to watch our "Garden Pets" again this morning and I am always amazed at the ingenuity of the squirrels. How they manage to hang onto a thin pole and the bird feeder without sliding down I will never know! Also although they are a bit of a pest the picture of one on the bird table is very attractive I think.
