For the young people

There is an area set aside in both of the churches with things to do for children and their parents/carers to go to during the services.

On alternate weeks during term times we have a club called The Meeting Place for those in Years 6, 7 and 8. This is held fortnightly on a Tuesday between 5 and 6.30 pm. It is as the name suggests a place for the young people to meet each other and to interact with the older people who come along. At this we watch films, play games and make crafts. At present it is held in The Rectory where there is a large garden in which to play outdoor games.

There is also a group called Cross Purposes which meets in the Gaston Green Chapel Hall on a Friday night between 7 and 8.30 pm during term times. This has music drama and the arts for young people in years 6 and above. All are welcome

The school in Little Hallingbury is Church of England Aided so we have very close links and the whole school comes into the church on a Thursday morning for assembly when one of the church members leads this.

The Playgroup comes into the church at the end of each half term for a service to which the parents and carers are invited.

This picture has some things in it that can tell us if it is a windy day. See how many you can find.

We cannot see the wind and the Holy Spirit who is the breath of God is like that. He works in our lives but you cannot see him, we will know he is there by the things we do. Other people can only see him at work in us by the way we act. It is like the way in which people can see the wind but know it is there when the leaves are being blown around or a kite is flying in the sky, or we can feel it on our face.
