A Belated Happy New Year!!

At long last on the 23rd January I have once again taken up my 'pen' and begun to make a note of what is going on in our neck of the woods.
Yesterday although I was not quick enough to catch it on 'film' there was a goldcrest in the bird bath, I think it may be nesting in one of the trees in the garden. I hope it will reappear on Sunday afternoon when Pete and I will be joining in the RSPB birdwatch for the third year running. We have also been fortunate enough to have several visits from the gregarious long tailed tits.
January is panto time in our
village, this seems to take precedence over many other things and a great time
is had by all, those brave enough to take part and those who simply enjoy their
antics. This year the pantomime is Jack and the Beanstalk and here are a few
photos of the intrepid actors. Other pictures can be viewed if you click on this link
