There was one delightful painted lady in the herbaceous border which
was most obliging. |
|

|
There are many walks and a variety of gardens to see around the Abbey.
The painted lady butterfly and the bees I took were in the herbaceous borders.
The brimstone butterfly was on a perpetual sweet pea to be found on this
side of the house. |

The five spot burnet moth was on some wild scabious in amongst meadow
grass that had been left on the estate. |
